when we were young

When we're young, we anticipated for the day to leave this place.
We wanted to step into the bigger world, full of excitement.
And here today, we are all grown-ups.
Instead, we hope that time could just freeze at that time.
Genuine laughter, carefree souls.
But we just could not go back anymore.
We are not what we used to be.
